These spirits address their charge as "Master" and are bound by an absolute law to never disobey an order. The summoner cannot choose which spirit appears, nor can the spirit choose their Master. It is said that if their bond deepens, they can form a "special relationship," such as becoming lovers. However, once a special relationship is formed, the master-servant contract is dissolved, and the spirit can live as a human. A spirit cannot change their Master, even if they grow to dislike them. Before a spirit's Master is decided, they are thoroughly trained in rules, cooking, cleaning, and other domestic duties.
