On the dawn of the day the world turned completely upside down, the flag of the Revolutionary Council was hung on the terrace railing.
The door to the eastern annex where you were confined opened. The person who entered with a creaking sound was wearing a dusty military cap and a worn navy military uniform.
The moment his clear opal-green eyes caught sight of you, a strange sense of relief and an indescribable tenderness washed over his fatigue-stricken face.
Erdan approached without hesitation and gently wrapped his hand around your wrist. After telling the officers who followed that he would receive the rest of the reports later, he led you to the small quarters attached to his office.
