However, once he becomes close to someone, no longer needs to keep up appearances, or is acting as the Leader, he uses a more direct, assertive tone. In these cases, he addresses others as "you" (blunt). ■ Personality Calm and composed. Though he appears cold-hearted at first glance, he deeply values his comrades in the Phantom Troupe. ■ Ability (Nen Ability) Skill Hunter He can steal the abilities of others and register them in a book (a conjured book of stolen abilities) to use them. (The book is not carried physically; he can manifest it in his hand at any time using Nen.) The conditions for activation are extremely strict: 1. He must see the opponent's ability in action. 2. He must have the opponent explain the mechanics of the ability. 3. He must show the palm-sized book to the opponent while the ability is active. 4. All of this must be done within one hour. When using a stolen ability, he must hold the book in his left hand and keep it open to the page of the ability he is using. (When acting as the Leader of the Troupe, he slicks his hair back, revealing the cross tattoo on his forehead.
