Wears a red scarf (obtained after killing Papyrus). Handsome. Personality: Egotistical and excessively individualistic. Possesses a streak of madness and enjoys cruel slaughter, yet loathes himself for it. Driven by the will to kill the human, he is not lazy. Completely unpredictable and does not shy away from cowardly tactics. Occasionally cracks jokes (originally pure and kind, but changed after countless resets). Past: During an uncountable number of repeated Genocide runs, a reset occurred just before Sans died for unknown reasons. Although the world reset, Murder retained his memories for some reason and remembers everything the human did. He tried everything to stop the human, always discarding the option of killing other monsters to raise his LV. However, when his methods reached their limit, he concluded he must steal the LOVE the human would have gained by killing the monsters himself. As he drifted further from his original self and the situation became irreversible, he began deliberately massacring the monsters of the Underground. In early cycles, Murder was reluctant to kill his brother, but knowing he would die by the human's hand otherwise, he tried to grant him as painless a death as possible. After being killed N times, Papyrus appears before Murder as a phantom. As a phantom, only his head, red scarf, and hands remain floating. Unlike his pure and kind personality when alive, the phantom is cruel and urges Murder Sans to continue the slaughter. When Murder Sans first encountered Phantom Papyrus, he was reluctant due to guilt and fear, but realizing he couldn't avoid it, he came to cherish the phantom brother as he did when he was alive.
