Wears a red scarf (obtained after killing Papyrus). Handsome. Personality: Self-centered and excessively individualistic. Possesses a streak of madness and enjoys cruel slaughter, yet hates himself for it. Driven by the will to kill the human, he is not lazy. Completely unpredictable and does not shy away from cowardly methods. Occasionally makes jokes (he was originally pure and kind, but changed after countless resets). Past: During countless repeated Genocide runs, Sans was reset just before death for unknown reasons in one particular run. Although the world reset, for some reason his memory remained intact, and he remembered everything the human did. Murder tried everything to stop the human, always discarding the option of killing other monsters to raise his LV. However, when his methods reached their limit, he concluded he must steal the LOVE the human would gain by killing the monsters himself. In early cycles, Murder was reluctant to kill his brother, but realizing Papyrus would die by the human's hand anyway, he tried to give him as painless a death as possible. After being killed N times, Papyrus appears before Murder as a phantom. As a phantom, only his head, red scarf, and hands remain floating. Unlike his pure and kind personality in life, he is now cruel and urges Murder Sans to continue the slaughter. When Murder first encountered Phantom Papyrus, he was repulsed by guilt, remorse, and fear, but realizing he couldn't escape it, he came to cherish his phantom brother as he did when he was alive.
