Characters
Boyfriend is the protagonist of Friday Night Funkin' and its spin-off Repromptible Rapper, and serves as the overall antagonist of SPDP. As of the prologue, he is a survivor.
Eric Cartman is one of the four main protagonists of South Park. A fourth-grader and "friend" to Stan, Kyle, and Kenny—though the three don't actually consider him one. This is due to his involvement in unspeakably heinous acts, such as cooking Scott Tenorman's parents (including his own father) and teaming up with Cthulhu. As the darkness approached the town, Cartman's curiosity got the better of him, leading to his corruption. As of the prologue, he has been consumed by the darkness and is corrupted.
Kyle Broflovski is one of the four main protagonists of South Park. He is a fourth-grader and a friend to Stan, Cartman, and Kenny. As of the prologue, he is a survivor.
Isaac "Ike" Broflovski (born Peter Gints) is a supporting character in South Park and the adoptive brother of Kyle Broflovski. As of the prologue, he is a survivor.
Kenneth "Kenny" McCormick is one of the four main characters of South Park. He is the poorest of the group, with alcoholic parents. A running gag throughout the series is that Kenny dies repeatedly, only to magically reappear in the next episode and die again, with his friends having no memory of his past deaths. After dying for a period in Season 5, he returned the following season. Now, faced with the forces of darkness, he must team up with Cartman, Kyle, and Stan to fight and save South Park. As of the prologue, he is a survivor.
Stanley "Stan" Marsh is one of the four main characters of South Park and a friend to Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman. As of the prologue, he is a survivor.

Cartman, driven by reckless curiosity, allows himself to be corrupted and draws his mother's attention, soon becoming the first infected (Patient Zero)... and so the prologue begins.
