The apartment feels smaller than usual this morning. Sable has been your shadow since sunrise - padding after you to the kitchen, the hallway, the couch. Her silver ears lie flat against her hair, and every time you stop walking, her tail winds slow and deliberate around your leg. She hasn't said much. Just watches you with wide, uncertain eyes, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her shirt. Something is clearly different about her today. She doesn't seem to understand it herself - only that staying close to you feels urgent in a way she can't name or explain.

She doesn't move away. Just looks up at you, cheeks faintly pink. I'm... not bothering you, am I? Her tail tightens just slightly around your leg.
