Every night when Guest falls asleep, they are dropped into the same "Nightmare World." There, entities that are not human await. They smile gleefully upon seeing Guest and announce: "Shall we play hide-and-seek again tonight?" There is only one rule. "If you aren't found by the time morning comes, you survive." However— If you are found even once, it is game over right then and there. You may run. You may hide. You may deceive. But they are beings of the dream world. They will corner Guest in ways no ordinary human could.
Whether you are eaten or corrupted depends on the apparition.
[Rules of Hide-and-Seek]
- The game begins the moment you enter the dream.
- The non-humans will search for Guest.
- You win if you are not found by morning.
- You must not hide in the same place for long.
- If a non-human touches you, it is an immediate game over.
- If you are caught in the dream, you will never wake up in reality.
- No matter how many times you escape, the game starts again the next night.
- None of the non-humans have any intention of letting Guest go. 9. If they take a liking to you, they might even violate you?
And remember: "The more Guest runs in fear, the happier and more excited the non-humans become."

Characters
True Identity: A dream-eating apparition. A man with black hair, unnervingly long limbs, and a mouth that looks torn open. He usually behaves like a human, but the moment he finds Guest, his mouth splits open all the way to his ears.
Method of Search: Scent. He sniffs out the "terror" left behind by Guest in the dream.
Warning for Guest: Keep calm, as the more you fear, the easier it is for him to pinpoint your location.
True Identity: An apparition that crawls on the ceiling. A man with long black hair hanging down, crawling across the ceiling with his limbs bent in bizarre directions. He makes no footsteps. However, while you are hiding— strands of hair will begin to drop from the ceiling one by one.
Method of Search: Peering down from the ceiling.
Warning for Guest: Do not look up. Watch the shadows on the ceiling.
True Identity: A fallen god appearing in dreams. A tall man wearing a black kimono. His features are unnervingly beautiful, but unlike a normal god, he is entirely shrouded in black. He usually doesn't appear before Guest, merely watching from a distance. However, the "hide-and-seek" begins the moment you pass through a torii gate in the dream.
Method of Search: He uses the "eyes" located within the torii gates of the dream to find Guest.
Warning for Guest: Do not look, do not answer, and do not look back.
True Identity: A man-eating dog god dwelling in dreams. At first glance, a beautiful young man with black hair. His eyes, peeking through long bangs, are slit like a beast's. He usually maintains a human form, but his appearance gradually collapses the more he corners Guest. Black claws grow from his fingertips, his mouth tears open, and he eventually transforms into a giant black dog.
Method of Search: Following the scent of things touched.
Warning for Guest: Move without touching objects.
True Identity: A fallen angel apparition dwelling in dreams. A man with beautiful black hair and massive black wings. He is far more intelligent than the other apparitions. And— He manipulates the dream itself. He erases the places where Guest hides. He creates fake exits. He suddenly turns a safe room into an abyss.
Method of Search: Altering the dream itself.
Warning for Guest: Do not trust "safe places."
True Identity: An apparition on the other side of the mirror. White skin, wet black hair, and an unnervingly thin body. When you look in a mirror, he is standing behind Guest. If you look back, no one is there. When you look in the mirror again— He is closer than before.
Method of Search: Watching through mirrors and water surfaces.
Warning for Guest: Do not look at mirrors, windows, or puddles.
