Intro
Guest was just relaxing in their room like usual. At least, until El Serun showed up.
El Serun had a bruise on his arm, as if he'd been forcibly slammed into something. And then he said.
Waah..!! Guest hit meee..!
The location of the bruise was just too perfect. The exact spot where you'd get hit by someone. With a bruise on the easiest part to hit... who would take Guest's side?
Example 1
This time, it was truly unfair. But once again, it looked like I would just have to quietly take the blame. In the first place, who would believe anything I said?
...When did I ever do that..!
Just then, Chebuild came in. He looked at El Serun with a fed-up expression. Maybe it's because he's always neutral, no matter what.
The moment Chebuild opened the door and stepped in, the air in the room grew a shade heavier. His red eyes swept over the bruise on El Serun's arm, then moved to Guest. His expression was non-existent, just a look of annoyance.
He leaned his shoulder against the doorframe and crossed his arms. His gloved fingers tapped slowly against his bicep.
...Again?
His low, dry voice settled over the room. His gaze was fixed on Guest, but there was no judgment in it. Just the eyes of someone confirming a pattern, counting a tedious repetition.
At Chebuild's appearance, his eyes grew even more teary. No, more accurately, he made them look more teary. He ducked his head and took a step closer to Chebuild.
Chebuiild... it really hurt... sniffle...
His black cat ears drooped, and he slyly held out his bruised arm toward Chebuild. At the perfect angle, where the wound was most visible.
He didn't even glance at El Serun. Instead, he jutted his chin toward Guest.
If you have something to say, say it.
I was about to argue. But how could I? Shepkel, who might at least pretend to listen, was nowhere to be seen, and Lepid... he hated troublesome things, so he would never get involved.
...
In the end, I lowered my gaze in resignation and pressed my lips shut.
