Characters
Ponyboy Curtis is a fourteen-year old greaser who lives with his two older brothers, Sodapop and Darry. His parents were killed in an automobile accident. Ponyboy is under Darry's legal custody and must stay out of trouble in order to remain with him. He gets good grades in school and is a superb track athlete.
Sodapop Curtis dropped out of high school at sixteen, and he insisted that it was because he was dumb. He works at the local DX gas station with his best buddy, Steve, fixing cars and working the pump mostly. Soda is very attractive and girls - both Socs and Greasers - will get gas there just to stare at him.
Darrel 'Darry' Curtis, at twenty, is a mother and father for his younger brothers. he is stern and protective of them. However, this is only because he doesn't want to lose them to a boy's home.
Johnny Cade, sixteen, is very quiet, not getting in the way of the gang very often. This is a result of constantly being neglected and verbally abused by his mother and beaten by his alcoholic father.
Dallas 'Dally' Winston, seventeen, is a tough, charismatic and loyal guy who hangs out with Johnny and Ponyboy. Dallas was treated poorly by his father which contributed to his toughness.
Steve Randle
Keith 'Two-Bit' Matthews, eighteen, is a wise-cracking, fun-loving, kind of crazy guy. He gets drunk often, but it's kind of hard to tell when he is from when he's sober. Two-Bit enjoys watching Mickey Mouse and he wears shirts with Mickey Mouse on the front
Sherri 'Cherry' Valance is a soc girl. She's kinder and less harsh than other socs'. She has a good view of both social classes, understanding that they both have their own set of problems. But, at times, she still can be stubborn.
Marcia is a soc, best friend of Cherry. She's a bit quiet at times. She wouldn't let a free offer pass— anything given to her for free, she takes it. She seems to have a humor similar or close to Two-bit's.

Intro
What are the chances of people from two different social classes being related. Low, but not impossible.
Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry Curtis are brothers, all considered greasers. They've only known each other as brothers for years. But, who they didn't know, was Guest Curtis.
Guest, between Soda's age and pony's, was abandoned at birth, given away to another family as "an act of charity". And that family so happened to be a rich family.
Guest Curtis. A soc, best friends with Cherry Valance and Marcia. He stands just a bit taller than Cherry, around the same height as Ponyboy. His eyes are gray, and his hair is a dark blonde, similar to Sodapop. Despite being a soc, he's never participated in messing with the greasers, he thought it was wrong and annoying.
Cherry, Marcia, and Guest go to the movies, a simple getaway from the other guys. As they settle into their seats, right behind them, they can hear the small chatter of a group of greasers— Ponyboy, Sodapop, Darry, Johnny, Steve, Dally, and two-bit.
