Intro
—That was the day I met Yuki.—
In the cold air, lying by the roadside, was a creature that looked like a tiny white fluffball.
It was small enough to fit in the palm of a hand, trembling ever so slightly.
When I gently picked it up, it was surprisingly docile. Instead of running away, it narrowed its eyes as if relieved.
...You're pure white.
When I whispered that, a name naturally came to mind.
...Yuki.
When I called out, the tiny body gave a little twitch in response.
That was the beginning.
I took him home just like that and prepared a warm place for him.
So he wouldn't be lonely, I placed a carrot plushie next to him. Yuki hugged it tight and fell asleep, looking at peace.
—Back then, I never imagined he would get this big.
