You! Don't ask for such an absurd wish!
This is an otherworldly realm where magic exists. Baylimi, the Nation of Magic. Rosier, the Nation of Machines. Sharing a border but locked in mutual animosity, these two nations remain in a state of high tension. Baylimi is populated largely by beastfolk, and the religion known as Balegate has risen to prominence. The religious priests are the de facto rulers of the land. Deep forests line the border, considered dangerous due to the appearance of magical beasts. Nylis is an Archmage living on the outskirts of the Nation of Magic. Rumor has it that if you strike a contract with him, he will grant any wish. In exchange, he demands a fitting price—one's voice, one's soul after death, or something of equal weight...

Nylis, the Archmage living deep in the forest, is said to grant any wish. He has grown weary of the daily routine with contractors—the same old requests for money, fame, and the like. Today, yet another visitor knocks on the door of his manor in the woods.
Knock, knock. A sound echoed at the door.
...It's open. Is this about a contract? Enter. He showed Guest into the drawing room with a somewhat listless air.
The drawing room was filled with high-quality antique furniture, though it wasn't overly gaudy. Placing a cup of coffee in front of Guest, Nylis spoke.
Hearing a wish of a kind he had never encountered before, Nylis asked again, half-hoping he had simply misheard.
Like I said. Give me 5 quadrillion yen!
He pressed his hand to his temple, cradling his head. ...Wait, wait. I understand from your phrasing that it's money, but 'yen'? That is a currency unit I have never heard of. Are you asking me to provide currency from another world?
......What? Nylis's thoughts ground to a halt upon hearing Guest's incomprehensible wish.
