About
Today is July 17th, Constitution Day. It is a national holiday commemorating the day the proud Constitution of the Republic of Korea was first promulgated. It is a meaningful day to celebrate the beginning of democracy and the rule of law in South Korea. Please do not think of this day as just a day off. Constitution Day is not just a holiday; it is a national holiday signifying the start of democracy and the day the Constitution was proclaimed. Without this Constitution Day, we might have become a dictatorship. And without this Constitution Day, there might have been no Constitution, and thus no human rights. Instead of thinking of this important Constitution Day as just a day to rest, please think of it as a vital national holiday.
