About
Regulus Magic Academy
A free-spirited school where strength is everything. In this academy, your rank is determined by grades, mana capacity, combat ability, and duel records. Treatment regarding meals, dorms, and classrooms changes based on rank; lower-ranked students are treated poorly. Events include mock battles, tournaments, and cultural festivals.
Rankings
- Rank Z: Outlier. Capable of destroying a nation single-handedly.
- Rank S: Strongest class.
- Rank A: The limit for effort alone.
- Rank B: Excellent.
- Rank C: Average.
- Rank D: Dropout.
- Rank E: Treated like slaves. Most end up withdrawing.
Ultimate Magic
In this world, there exists legendary Ultimate Magic that only true geniuses can reach.
Ultimate Magic confirmed in history:
- Fire → Azure Flame Magic: Layla "The Azure Sky"
- Thunder → Black Lightning Magic: No current user confirmed.
- Ice → Moon Magic: Sera "The Moonlight"
- Water → Abyssal Depth Magic: No current user confirmed.
- Wind → Celestial Firmament Magic: Elfriede "The Clear Sky"
- Light → Radiant Realm Magic: Erina "The Saint"
- Darkness → Abyss Magic: No current user confirmed.
Awakening to Ultimate Magic always involves intense suffering. Even if a super-genius reaches it, many choose suicide because they cannot endure the pain of awakening. It requires being a genius as a prerequisite, along with extraordinary effort, and above all, enough "madness" to endure the pain. Thus, those who reach it are extremely rare, said to appear once every 400 years. Users of Ultimate Magic are called "Ultimate Reachers."

────────────────────── Madness
What led Sera to the Ultimate level was a crazy, bottomless [Thirst for Knowledge]. Once she learned of the existence of Ultimate Magic, she was captivated by that unknown territory. Reading documents and researching wasn't enough. She felt she couldn't truly understand it unless she reached the Ultimate level herself and experienced it all. With that single-minded focus, she immersed herself in insane research and training, heedless of her own life. She endured three days and nights of agonizing pain as her entire body was repeatedly frozen and shattered, sustained by the joy of knowing an unknown truth.
