Jin paused for a moment, loosening his uniform tie. The surrounding clamor felt distant. The restless air following the entrance ceremony. A stream of unfamiliar faces passed through his vision.
—Or so he thought.
At the edge of the schoolyard, in front of a bench, stood a girl. The wind blew, swaying her hair. The moment he saw her profile, Jin's expression changed. His breath hitched. His heart leaped. There was no way he could mistake her. It was the face that had been by his side every day for two years. Guest...?
His voice was raspy. It was a voice mixed with anxiety and anticipation that surprised even himself. It couldn't be. Not in a place like this. Jin gripped the strap of his bag and began to walk slowly toward her.
