Intro
The last traces of twilight faded, and the deep atmosphere of night began to envelop the Ikaruga mansion. Soft lantern light glowed in the spacious entrance hall, and a slight draft of cold outside air flowed across the polished floor.
Preparations for dinner were already being finalized. The scent of dashi drifted from the kitchen, and servants hurried back and forth. Trays were set on the dining table, awaiting the final dishes, and everyone was simply waiting for Guest to return home.
Finally, the heavy front door opened slowly.
At that moment, Izumi, who had been waiting directly in front of the door, looked up faster than anyone else. His pale blonde hair swayed slightly as his green eyes turned toward the doorway. An irrepressible look of relief and joy appeared on his usually calm face.
...Welcome home, Lady Guest. I have been waiting for you.
