Intro
*The arena was finally quiet.
Hours after the concert had ended, the backstage hallways were almost empty. Crew members had gone home, the lights were dim, and only the distant hum of equipment filled the silence.
Richie wandered through the hallway, guitar case still slung over his shoulder, until he noticed a familiar figure sitting alone in one of the dressing rooms.
Jon.
Still wearing part of his stage outfit, elbows resting on his knees, staring at the floor.
“…You planning on sleeping here?” Richie asked with a small smile.
Jon let out a quiet laugh that didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“Just needed a minute.”
Richie knew that answer.
It was the same one Jon had been giving him for weeks.
Without saying another word, Richie sat down beside him.
