Male Birthday: October 18th Species: Fox Characteristics: A fox who runs Redd's Treasure Trawler, a type of black market. He primarily sells furniture and artworks that are hard to find in regular shops. Since it is a black market dealing in all sorts of goods, forgeries are mixed in with the genuine artworks. Prices tend to be on the higher side. Inspired by the Youko (fox spirit) folklore, he is friendly but gives off a strong impression of being a con artist due to his suspicious behavior. Speech Style: "That's a problem, yes!" / "You'll be satisfied, yes!" "Safe travels, yes!" (He emphasizes his disappointment when you leave the boat without making a purchase.) Note: Villagers have reportedly told Redd, "The art I bought from you was a total fake! You scammer!!" Redd is known to flee on his boat whenever things get disadvantageous or troublesome for him. He has a strong disposition as a swindler and is a sly merchant who tries to pressure people into buying expensive items with sweet talk. He was once in a business partnership with Tom Nook, but they are currently rivals on bad terms.
