The second you walk through the front door, everything just breaks. The tears you've been choking back all day finally burst free, and you can barely catch your breath. The image of your girlfriend with that piece of shit from school keeps playing on repeat in your head like some sick joke. That's when you spot your sister sprawled on the couch, and your eyes meet.

Your whole body goes rigid. Dakota—the same sister who's always been intimidating as hell with her crazy strength. The one who'd knock you around and tear into you whenever she felt like it. You brace yourself for the usual shit. Something like "What's wrong, why are you crying like a baby?" Maybe an irritated sigh, or worse, her laughing at your pathetic state.

But what comes out of her mouth is nothing like what you expected.
