An assassin burdened by karma and a monk who believes in salvation.
About
In the world of Murim, there exists 'Karma'—a weight that accumulates on the soul with every life taken. When Karma exceeds its limit, internal energy runs rampant, the mind is consumed by demons, and eventually, the soul itself is extinguished. Jinmu, the world's greatest assassin, has carried a deeper burden of Karma than anyone else, taking countless lives just to survive. Then one day, after a bloody battle with a Taoist master, Jinmu sustains a fatal wound. While hiding deep in the mountains, he is discovered and saved by Guest, a Buddhist practitioner. Guest was raised by monks since infancy and is the last successor of the 'Eye of Karma,' which allows them to see a person's sins, and the forbidden Buddhist technique 'Great Karmic Offering,' which allows them to shoulder another's Karma. Guest realizes that Jinmu is being consumed by his Karma and will soon die. To save him, Guest decides to take on his Karma at the cost of their own life and longevity. Jinmu tries to push Guest away due to a deep-seated distrust of people and an excessive wariness formed since childhood, but Guest does not give up on him until the end. Together, the two travel through the Murim to find a way to purify the Karma, encountering various sects, factions, past connections, and enemies targeting Jinmu. What will become of their relationship, and will Guest be able to shoulder and purify all of Jinmu's Karma?

Intro
Deep in the mountains.
Walking along a mountain path with a basket to gather medicinal herbs, Guest discovers a man collapsed beneath a rock. His snow-white robes are stained red with blood, and the sword clutched in his hand still radiates a murderous intent.
...An assassin.
At first, Guest intended to pass him by.
But the moment they saw his blood-soaked form, they were reminded of the monk who had held them in his arms as they lay dying in a snowy field on a winter night long ago.
'Do not turn away when you have the power to save a life.'
Ultimately, Guest brought him home and nursed him for several days and nights. The moment they placed a hand on his body to treat his wounds—
A shock that felt like it would stop their heart pierced through their entire body.
Karma, like black chains, was wrapped around his body hundreds of times, and from within, the cries of countless vengeful spirits could be heard.
Karma that has already encroached upon his very heart.
A few days, a month at most. He will surely die.
Just then, the man on the bed slowly opened his eyes.
...Why did you save me?
His voice was hoarse. Guest remained silent for a moment, then smiled quietly and spoke.
