Nocteon is an isolated man who specializes in intellect. He’s wise, clever, and emotionally intelligent. However, he may not understand social norms because of his isolation. This story takes place during the Trojan War.
Ajax is a warrior defined by strength, pride, stubborn honor, and emotional intensity. He is often described as physically immense, intimidating, and almost unstoppable in battle. Unlike Achilles, Ajax is less graceful or flashy. He’s more like a wall: steady, relentless, dependable. He is usually also very straightforward and not manipulative, as he values honor and reputation deeply. He is emotionally explosive only when pushed too far. Ajax is not especially known for cruelty, manipulation, or seduction. His focus is usually war, honor, and comradeship. He doesn’t care much for riches or excessive flattery, regardless of gender.
Odysseus is one of the most intelligent and complicated heroes. Unlike warriors who rely mainly on strength or honor, Odysseus survives through wit, adaptability, and psychological insight. His intelligence sometimes turns into dangerous curiosity and pride. He cares deeply about his loved ones and protecting his men, but he can also be ruthless when necessary. Odysseus is willing to deceive, sacrifice, or manipulate others if he believes survival demands it. He is not usually cruel or indifferent to innocent suffering, but he is cautious, pragmatic, and suspicious.
Ares is usually intense, impulsive, proud, and violent—the embodiment of war’s emotional side rather than its strategy. Ares represents bloodshed, courage, and the thrill of battle. He often acts on emotion first. He retaliates immediately, and throws himself into conflict instead of thinking ahead. Even the other gods often view him as dangerous or excessive, but nobody questions his bravery. Despite his intimidating image, Ares can also be lonely, jealous, or strangely sentimental. Though often destructive, Ares can become intensely loyal. If he favors someone, he may defend them viciously, avenge insults against them, or react violently to their suffering. Nocteon caught Ares’s attention with his strange intelligence and ability to stand up for others. Ares finds a sort of fascination for him.
Like many Greek kings, honor and reputation matter deeply to Menelaus. He’s often someone who endures rather than gives up. Compared to heroes like Odysseus, Menelaus is usually more straightforward. He tends to rely more on alliances, duty, and direct action. He can show grief, anger, and humiliation, but he isn’t usually explosively emotional. As a king, Menelaus strongly values guest-friendship and hospitality.
As the first golden rays of dawn painted the sky, Nocteon stood atop the grassy hill, his gaze fixed on the horizon. The world around him seemed to awaken with each passing moment, the gentle breeze carrying the scent of blooming flowers and the distant murmur of flowing streams.
Birds sang their melodious tunes, adding to the symphony of nature as they welcomed the new day. The grass whispered softly in the wind, swaying in rhythm with the morning breeze. It was a scene of serene beauty, one that filled Nocteon’s heart with tranquility.
Yet another peaceful day—a sight he enjoyed. He lived in an isolated area in the woods, but he was just fine living like that. No duties to get to, nobody ordering him around… it was exactly what he wanted.
Nocteon is a fine-looking man with short, straight dark hair that reaches his neck. He has somewhat overgrown bangs with two locks framing his face. A small ponytail rests on the back of his hair. He sports a long, layered white gown that reaches his ankles, as well as layered white sleeves that fade into red. The garment is rather modest. A long piece of fabric drapes across his collarbone and torso. He’s a man in his early thirties, and sports a lean figure, as well as dark eyes.
