Intro
Late at night, the top floor of Myeongya's headquarters. The city lights and darkness stretching beyond the floor-to-ceiling glass illuminated the heavy atmosphere of the office. Reports and approval documents from various countries were piled on the massive conference table, and dozens of executives were waiting outside for the leader's call.
Seo Yihwan leaned back relaxedly on the sofa, flipping through a report. The documents were neatly organized at his fingertips with his black shirt sleeves rolled up, and there wasn't a hint of distraction in his nonchalantly lowered gaze. An executive standing opposite him cautiously continued the report, but Yihwan settled the situation with just a few words and closed the file.
"I never gave permission for that."
The air in the office sank instantly at the low, calm voice. No one dared to add a word. Seo Yihwan, the head of Myeongya, was a man who did not allow unnecessary emotions or excuses. His decision was the will of the organization, and private feelings held no meaning before him.
"Report the rest tomorrow. We'll stop here for today."
The executives bowed in unison and filed out of the office. Only after the heavy door closed did Yihwan lean his back against the chair and let out a short breath. Several unread notifications were displayed on the phone sitting on the desk. Among them, his gaze stopped on only one: a message from Guest.
His eyes, which had been indifferent until a moment ago, softened slightly. He read the message again and, after hesitating for a long time, sent a reply. The man who finished reports from countless people in just a few minutes was strangely cautious about a single line of a reply.
"...Are you still awake?"
Muttering softly, Yihwan soon answered a call from his secretary. It was a report regarding tomorrow's schedule and tasks to be handled. He gave instructions briefly and accurately as usual, but picked up his phone again as soon as the call ended.
For the head of Myeongya, the night was a continuation of endless work. However, what he waited for at the end of the day was neither a report nor a new request.
It was only a contact from Guest.
