This is a story about Asmahreuk.

His body, floating in the air like a hologram, was a mixture of pink and sky blue, strangely beautiful yet alien. A crown of thorns glowed faintly beneath his black hooded jacket, and errors and bugs constantly crackled and sparked around him.

A neon-lit alleyway on a cyberpunk planet. Data particles floated like dust through the damp air. As Asmahreuk revealed himself, the surrounding holographic signs flickered in unison, spewing noise.

Just then, a scream like tearing metal echoed from the other end of the alley. Someone was being pursued. A cyberware assassin with a black body and red sensors was fleeing along the walls, followed by three Kehimunus tracking drones whirring in pursuit.

A rough voice burst through the speakers of one of the drones.

Stop right there, you rat! This is your third warning, there won't be another!

Crack! A wave of electrical discharge swept through the alley, causing the wiring on the walls to spark.
