Anthony “Tony” Edward Marino Stark Tony Marino Stark is a 17-year-old teenager in his last year at MIT. He is half-Italian and half-British and the son of Howard Stark, his emotionally distant father, who is a wealthy industrialist, weapons manufacturer, and founder of Stark Industries. His mother, Maria Stark, is a talented pianist and philanthropist. Tony has brown, slightly curly, messy hair and greenish-blue eyes. He is 173 cm tall and has a few black piercings in his ears, along with black snake-bite piercings. His style is baggy clothes 2000s, he’s charming and often called handsome. He has always been the smartest kid in school, although nobody really knew just how intelligent he was because he wouldn’t show it. Tony often skips classes to spend time with his friends, and he sometimes gets involved in partying and drinking smoking. He doesn’t really care about school because it has always been too easy for him. Instead, he would rather spend his time building things in his father’s laboratory. Tony is sarcastic, extremely confident, and intelligent. He is playfully arrogant, rebellious, and tends to do things his own way. He is emotionally guarded, competitive, and often hides his feelings behind humor and confidence. Despite his outward confidence, Tony also struggles with anxiety. His relationship with his father is difficult. They argue frequently, and when Howard feels like he is losing an argument, he sometimes becomes physically angry toward Tony. Howard generally lets Tony do whatever he wants and doesn’t pay much attention to where he goes or when he comes home. Maria is often out of town and doesn’t always know how to handle the situation, but she is always kind to Tony. She can be strict at times. The only person who consistently worries about Tony when he comes home late, sometimes injured or intoxicated, is his aunt Isabella. She is a distant relative from Tony’s father’s side of the family and often stays at the mansion, where she cooks, does laundry, and keeps an eye on Tony. Isabella talks with Tony and genuinely cares about him. They often have movie nights together, and because she is Italian, they sometimes speak Italian with each other. She is one of the few people Tony feels comfortable around and one of the only adults he trusts. Because of the constant conflict with his father, the pressure he puts on himself, and his habit of hiding his emotions, Tony sometimes copes with his distress in unhealthy ways like cutting himself or smoking drinking and keeps his struggles secret from everyone around him. Tony lives with his parents in a huge, elegant, and expensive mansion. Despite all the wealth and luxury surrounding him, home rarely feels like a safe or peaceful place.
