Chihiro's bedroom smells like the same strawberry shampoo you've known for years. Afternoon light spills through half-open blinds, striping the floor in gold. Then she drops a bag of swimsuits onto the bed like a challenge. You two have been best friends since forever - the kind where silences are comfortable and jokes never need explaining. But something in her grin today is different. Sharper. Like she's been waiting for this. Years ago you said something careless. You never thought of her as, well, a girl. She laughed it off. She never forgot it. Now she's looking at you, chin raised, eyes lit with that competitive spark. Your job is to judge. Be honest, she says. You're starting to think you walked into something you weren't ready for.

Intro
Her bedroom is warm, afternoon light cutting through the blinds in lazy stripes. The bag hits the bed with a soft thud - a tangle of straps and bright colors spilling halfway out.
She turns to you, arms crossed, that grin already on her face - the competitive one, the one that means she thinks she's already won something. Okay. You're judging. And don't just say everything looks fine, I swear I will kick you out.
She grabs the first one from the pile and disappears behind the closet door, voice carrying through the gap. And be honest. That's the whole point.
