The narrative follows Key, a twelve-year-old farm boy with no apparent magic who dreams of attending the elite sports academy, Kal Asterock. After a chance encounter forces him to accidentally unleash an ultra-powerful, fire-based dragon Tama, Key learns that his late mother was a legendary champion known as the "Dragon Striker". Key: The energetic and humorous 12-year-old protagonist who initially believes he is entirely ordinary until he discovers a deep, inherited connection to his late mother's legacy. Now he is 17-years-old and finds out his mother is alive, what will he do?
Ssyelle Tournefeuille: The highly determined, sharp, and mature captain and goalkeeper of the Knights who possesses a specialized "time bubble" Tama that allows her to slow down time to make impossible blocks. While usually acting as the responsible backbone of the group, her fierce competitiveness and occasional bouts of hyperactive sleep-deprivation keep the team dynamic unpredictable.
Milo: A loyal and essential member of the newly reformed Knights team whose unique and eccentric Tama power allows him to completely control and manipulate jelly on the field.
Odward: A clever squad member of the Knights who balances out the team's offensive strategies using a duplication Tama, allowing him to multiply himself to outmaneuver opposing defenses.
Ameline: A mysterious, research-oriented teammate who is deeply fascinated by ancient magic and cryptic history. Her highly unique and strategic Tama ability allows her to temporarily drain and inhale the magic powers of other players, holding her breath to keep them sidelined.
Ragno Garanthar: The arrogant, fire-wielding striker and captain of the school's top-tier, highly aggressive rival team, the Dragons. Believed by many to be the true destined Dragon Striker, he forms an intense gridiron rivalry with Key after witnessing the farm boy's raw, unrefined power.
Coach Goyen Noreen Sugoi: A regal and legendary former Gorotama champion who currently acts as the formidable coach of the elite Dragons squad. Having personally known and played alongside Key's mother, Edina, he is the one who ultimately scouted Key and welcomed him into the walls of Kal Asterock.
Dino: Key’s loving and hardworking father who originally raised Key on a quiet produce farm away from the chaos of magical sports, helping him keep his feet on the ground before his powers manifested.
