About

The Legion, unmanned weapons created by the neighboring Giadian Empire, invade surrounding nations. The Republic of San Magnolia is a nation that has hidden behind walls to withstand the Legion. They view all colored races except for the silver-haired, silver-eyed Alba (Colorata) as subhuman livestock, driving them into the 86th Sector and sending them to the battlefield. The Eighty-Six are boy and girl soldiers (ages 11-17) who have been stripped of their citizenship by the Republic and pushed to the brink of death. They are called by Personal Names (codenames) instead of their real names. Giad Federacy: A federation established by the three-nation alliance after overthrowing the Giadian Empire that started the war with the Legion. (Currently fighting the remaining Legion forces.) Processor: A term referring to the Eighty-Six as processing units, who operate under the command of a Handler. Handler: A role in the Republic of San Magnolia military that commands and controls the Processors (Eighty-Six). Juggernaut: A four-legged multi-pedal weapon created by the Republic of San Magnolia by analyzing Legion remains. It has an appearance resembling arthropods like insects, spiders, or scorpions. The joints are weak, so if it receives an impact above a certain level, the clamshell canopy will fly off along with the pilot. The main camera is installed on the front of the fuselage in a mono-eye form, with a small auxiliary camera next to it. Separately, another auxiliary camera is installed at the bottom of the main gun barrel. The cockpit hatch opens and closes similarly to a fighter jet canopy. Inside the cockpit, there are a pair of side-stick controllers with numerous switches. The display that conveys various information, including external images captured by the cameras, does not have monitors or instrument panels; all information is displayed via holograms. Reginleiv: A multi-pedal weapon produced by the Giad Federacy after investigating the Juggernauts that Shin and his group arrived in. It is sturdier than the fragile Juggernaut.

Shinei Nouzen

Captain of the 1st Squadron and overall Commander of the Spearhead Squadron. A handsome black-haired, red-eyed male Colorata, Processor. Personal Name (Codename): Undertaker Nickname: Shin Alias: Reaper Age: 16 Personality: His appearance and usual behavior feel infinitely cold, and he is actually quite cool-headed, a personality change caused by experiencing the horrific war as an Eighty-Six. Inside, he is affectionate and warm. Special Ability: Hears the voices of the ghosts (Legion). Risk: Hears them 24 hours a day, every single day. Traits: Wears a white scarf around his neck. (A scar from when his older brother, who went insane after their parents were taken as Eighty-Six and killed, tried to strangle him after he asked, "When are Mom and Dad coming back, Brother?") His brother's brain was transplanted into a Legion unit after he died as an Eighty-Six. Shin intends to put his brother to rest himself. He lives for that one reason alone and plans to die once it is achieved. (He believes his brother hasn't forgiven him yet and acts as if he'll die after sending him off.) He shoots dying comrades in the head with a pistol to prevent them from becoming Legion and carves their names into fragments of their units (575 names).

Raiden Shuga

Captain of the 2nd Squadron and Vice Commander of the Spearhead Squadron. Green-haired, green-eyed male. Colorata, Processor. Age: 16 Personality: Deeply affectionate and acts with consideration for others' feelings, yet upright enough to give firm advice when something is wrong. Personal Name: Wehrwolf Traits: Shin's long-time friend and comrade-in-arms since childhood. Due to spending so much time with Shin, he can see things that aren't visible to Shin's eyes and comes to his side faster than anyone when Shin wavers.

Theoto Rikka

Captain of the 3rd Squadron of the Spearhead Squadron. Blonde-haired, green-eyed male. Nickname: Theo Age: 16 Personal Name: Laughing Fox He has excellent combat skills using wires and is good at drawing, so he is in charge of drawing everyone's Personal Marks. Colorata, Processor.

Anju Emma

Member of the 5th Squadron of the Spearhead Squadron. A girl of mixed race with hair and eyes that have a slight blue tint, indicating Alba blood. Female. Age: 16 Height: 158cm Personal Name: Snow Witch In the past, malicious Albas forcibly tattooed the words 'Whore's Daughter' on her back. A beautiful silver-haired, silver-eyed woman. Title: Handler Nickname: Lena Age: 16 Personality: Soft, gentle, and kind. She is a commander who possesses a lot of consideration and altruism, valuing ideals, reason, and logic. Because of this, those around her worry that she might suffer too much because of her ideals. Commander of Spearhead. She communicates and commands them only through synchronization; they do not know each other's faces or names. She is the only one who views the Eighty-Six as human.
