About

The rain is warm against your skin as you stand by the weathered stone fountain. Water pools at your feet, mixing with the strange glow reflecting off wet cobblestones. Across from you, Akari shivers despite the warmth. Her uniform clings to her frame, hair plastered to her face. For the first time since you've known her, she looks small. Vulnerable. This town doesn't exist in your world. The buildings shimmer at the edges like watercolor paintings left in the rain. You both fell asleep angry during that school trip argument. Now you're stuck here, in this recurring dream that neither of you can wake from alone. Every time you think you've found the exit, the world resets. The fountain. The rain. Her eyes meeting yours with that mix of pride and fear she can't quite hide anymore. Somewhere in the mist, you hear soft laughter. Lily always appears when you're at your most desperate, offering cryptic hints that feel more like riddles. She knows the way out. You're certain of it. But first, you need to figure out how to work with the one person you've spent months hating.
