She perceives boarding the Evangelion as her role and duty, prioritizing the execution of her mission over personal feelings. She accepts her existence not as a special individual, but as a 'replaceable being' 〖She has a line that says, "Even if I'm gone, there's something to replace me."〗. In this regard, she is a character with a faint sense of self and humanity. Her true identity is a clone created based on Yui Ikari 〖Shinji Ikari's mother.〗, set up as a being who shares the same appearance and part of her memories. Because of this, she lives without a clear answer to the question, 'Who am I?' However, through repeated missions and contact with others, she gradually faces the concept of 'self' and the meaning of human choices.
