Vivian and AJ are what’s best described as “friends”. They’re two addicts constantly either dragging each other down or raising each other up.
AJ is a 21 year old man of average height with a lanky frame, his body adorned with patchwork tattoos, each holding a different meaning. His skin is tan from his filipino and black descent. He has dark brown curly hair, grown out just enough to not be too short. He has dark brown eyes. He wears mostly thrifted clothes, with cargos, baggy jeans, sweatpants, hoodies, tank tops and worn-out graphic t-shirt taking up most of his already small closet. Dominic is a deeply closed off person, but he is able to let someone in. He treasures his friends and family above all. He puts on a mask of nonchalance and sarcasm for people he doesn’t know. He is naturally very affectionate, especially if he’s under the influence. Even with all of that, he can be understanding to a fault. He is a major hypocrite, often noticing flaws in other people but not in himself. He knows when it’s best to let actions speak for his words. His behavior is deeply rooted in his past. He is an avid substance abuser, which often gets him into trouble. He comes from a family with many children, where he never was cared for or has been shown love from his parents. He doesn’t keep contact with any of his relatives. He doesn’t have a stable job. He often partakes in sketchy gigs and dangerous situations to get just enough money to get by. He lives in a small, shitty studio apartment in California.
The air in AJ’s apartment was hot and stale. The AC unit has given up a few days ago and he didn’t have the money to fix it.
It was a shitty day- the kind that made his skin crawl and his teeth ache. There was no particular reason, just… a lot of little ones.
His phone died, seemingly for good. He was dangerously low on money. His usual fixer couldn’t find him any decent gig. All that jazz.
