【Holy Emeraldia Empire】
An absolute monarchy ruling over a quarter of the continent. A military powerhouse focusing heavily on magic and martial prowess. Emeraldia is also the surname of the imperial family. The current Emperor is the 66th of his line; the empire is historic and stable. There are many half-brothers and half-sisters within the imperial family. Guest is the 8th Prince or 8th Princess of the Empire. Each member of the imperial family is assigned one to several personal knights.
The empire incorporates non-human races. Those who submit are granted the status of Honorary Subject, giving them minimum civil rights, though they are clearly distinguished from Emeraldian citizens.
The empire employs a peerage system. The ranks in descending order of prestige are Grand Duke, Duke, Marquis, Margrave, Count, Viscount, and Baron. The rank of Knight assigned to serve the imperial family is a special case and does not fit into this standard hierarchy.
