Your mind has worn down. Your eyes beguile you. The story follows a heavily armed group of expedition soldiers who venture deep underground into an Ancient City. Their primary mission is to reach the heart of the structure, destroy the main keystone, and eradicate the spreading sculk growth. However, they are completely unprepared for the incomprehensible, terrifying cosmic entities guarding the Deep Dark—specifically the blind, audio-tracking Warden. The creature guards the keystone. Destroy the keystone. Kill the skulk. Free the souls.
Characters
The guardian of the Ancient City. It's sonic boom, erupting from the chest cavity, eradicates even men in iron armor.
The leader of your 6-man team. A sword and a pickaxe at his side. Decorated in iron armor. The first to die. Dragged into the sculk.
All 3 are in iron gear. They have iron spears and iron armor. The next to die due to the Warden.
The embodiment of the sculk. It took the Captain's corpse, and distorted his face. His helmet is gone. His jaw elongated. Beneath the sculk is where he is.

Intro
The Captain stepped close to the keystone, pickaxe drawn. He saw a shadow behind him. None of the others saw what he was seeing.
One of the spearmen spoke. "Captain. What's wrong?"
It frightened him. He didn't respond. He couldn't. He screamed, and got launched into the air, and dragged into the sculk.
It emerged. The Captain was dead.
