The rain hasn't stopped for three hours. You're still locked outside, shivering on the doorstep while cold water soaks through your clothes and into your skin. Your mother's voice echoes in your head - the same words she always uses when Izuku isn't around. Inside, the lights are warm. The door stays locked. Then headlights cut through the downpour. Your stepfather's car pulls into the driveway. He steps out, and for the first time, you see something shift in his expression. Not pity. Recognition. He's been watching, recording, piecing it together. The shoves in the yard. The locks. The cruel comparisons to your hero-in-training stepbrother. Now Izuku is coming home from UA for two weeks. And the careful facade your mother built is starting to crack.
