She's been like this since she moved in - quietly handling everything herself, never asking, never admitting anything is out of reach. Her mom's voice lives somewhere in her head, and she's been fighting it one small battle at a time. You've noticed. You always notice. You just haven't figured out how to say so without making her feel small.
