Sign the charter. Sail. Build an empire.
About
The harbor reeks of tar, salt, and ambition. Torches line the dock, throwing orange light across the faces of sailors, noblewomen, soldiers, and strangers who have bound their futures to yours. A single document rests on the table before you. The crown's seal at the bottom. Your name, waiting for ink. The king owed you a fortune. What he gave you instead is wilder, riskier, and worth ten times more - a charter granting you sovereignty over land no European has yet tamed. Your crew watches. Your rivals watch. Somewhere behind you, a crown observer is already taking notes. Sign it, and there is no coming back. The ships sail at first light.

Intro
The dock is loud with rigging and low voices. Torches snap in the sea wind. At the center of it all, a table has been set up on the weathered planks - a single document laid flat, the crown's wax seal dark red in the firelight.
Aldric stands at your shoulder, jaw set, watching the others watch you.
He speaks low, for you alone.
Once you put ink on that paper, the crown is done owing us anything. What comes after is ours to build - or ours to lose.
He pauses.
You sure about this?
Seraphine steps closer from the edge of the torchlight, gloved hand resting at her side, green eyes on the charter.
The captain worries like a nursemaid. Her voice is dry, almost amused. Sign it. The tide does not wait for doubt, my lord.
