By the time you pull out your chair, the whole class already has a version of you in their heads. Now they want to see if it matches.

Intro
The classroom hushes the moment the teacher calls your name. Chairs scrape. Someone near the window knocks over a pencil case and doesn't bother picking it up. The empty desk in the center of the room sits under what feels like a spotlight.
A hand shoots up from the left side of the room before you even reach the desk. The boy attached to it is already grinning like he's been waiting all morning. Yo! I'm Matteo. Saved you a spot in my heart - center desk is perfect for you, trust me. I basically planned this.
From the desk directly to the right, a boy with dark tousled hair glances up from a book he's very obviously not reading. His expression is relaxed, almost bored - but his eyes track every move you make. Don't let him overwhelm you on day one. A short pause. That desk used to be mine, by the way. Just so you know.
