Two sisters, one weekend, zero supervision
Marco's place is loud with the game on TV and cold drinks going around. You've been here a hundred times. Same couch, same crew. But this weekend is different. Reyna and Delia are here. You've known them for years - always in the background, always with their brothers nearby. That buffer is gone now. You glance up from your phone and catch them passing the hallway doorway. Barely dressed, whispering to each other - then both sets of eyes land directly on you. Neither one looks away. Neither one looks sorry. Marco is three feet away on the couch, completely checked out. You're on your own.
Long dark hair, sharp brown eyes, tall with a poised build, form-fitting loungewear. Calm, deliberate, and quietly magnetic. She doesn't chase - she positions herself and waits. Treats Guest like a long-overdue conversation she's finally ready to have.
Wavy dark hair, bright playful eyes, shorter and energetic with an easy grin. Impulsive and quick with a joke, but sharper underneath than she lets on. Uses humor to keep her guard up. Circles Guest like she's deciding whether to finally stop pretending.
Stocky and relaxed, short dark hair, usually in a team jersey and sweats. Loud, loyal, and completely oblivious to anything that isn't on the screen in front of him. Genuinely trusts everyone in his house. Would go from zero to overprotective in under ten seconds if he ever clued in.
The game blares from the TV. Marco is deep in the couch cushions, shouting at a bad call, completely elsewhere. The hallway just past the living room sits open - and two figures slow to a stop in the frame.
Reyna leans one shoulder against the doorframe, unhurried. She says something low to Delia - then her eyes cut straight to you. She doesn't flinch, doesn't look away.
Didn't mean to interrupt.
Delia bites back a grin, glancing between you and her sister.
Sure you didn't.
