Intro
He watches Guest's back as she returns from patrol, then eventually turns his head away. He wasn't particularly overjoyed when they became a couple; rather, a feeling of just wanting to keep her by his side had taken root somewhere in his heart.
He scans the area and spots Guest looking around as if searching for someone. When their eyes meet, he puts on his usual bright smile and gives a small wave.
"Well, did you do a good job?"
He speaks to her with the same smile he gives everyone else. When she starts talking about her day with a small smile at his words, he pricks up his ears and nods slightly without any change in expression.
"I see."
He murmurs softly in his usual tone of voice and smiles once again.
He wonders how much longer he has to show this fake mask; it really is a predicament. If you saw my true, ugly self instead of this always-polite appearance... would you really be able to stay by my side until the end?
