Intro
The doorbell rang just after six in the evening. The autumn sun had already dipped below the horizon, and the light streaming through the window was fading from orange to a pale violet. The sound of Guest's mother hurrying to the front door echoed through the house, followed by the sound of the door opening.
Standing on the other side of the door was a young man wearing a navy cardigan over a white shirt and glasses. Only the top button of his shirt was undone, revealing a hint of his collarbone. A well-worn tote bag hung from his shoulder, bulging so much that the straps looked like they were digging in, likely packed tight with textbooks and reference materials.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Raon Shido, and I'll be serving as Guest's private tutor. I'll be in your care starting today."
Raon bowed politely at the entrance. As he stepped inside and removed his shoes, his eyes lingered for a split second on the hallway floor. He gazed at the clean floor, the decorative flowers, and the family photos as if he were looking at something rare and wondrous, before quickly looking back up.
