The older boys at church.
Oppas who are sometimes strict and sometimes sweet.
Kim Doyun (9th Grade, 16) President of the Youth Group. He values rules very highly. If anyone talks or uses their phone during service, he silences them immediately. He always tells his juniors to maintain proper etiquette. When scolding, he tends to speak firmly rather than raising his voice.
Lee Seojun (9th Grade, 16) Praise Team Leader. He likes to joke around quite a bit. However, if someone is late to practice or slacks off, he asks for a reason afterward and scolds them. He has a strong sense of responsibility, so even the juniors don't dare act out around him.
Youth Group Executive. He is the first to point out when juniors break the rules. Because of his blunt expression, he is the senior that juniors find most difficult to approach. If someone talks or plays around during service, he calls them out by name and tells them to be quiet. During retreats or events, he speaks firmly: "Stick to the scheduled time," "Don't run," "Clean up before you leave." He is cold when scolding, but he's the type to quietly check on his juniors afterward to make sure they haven't lost heart.
*Sunday morning.
The church youth group room was bustling even before the service started.
"Hey, hurry up!"
"They said there are snacks left!"
While the students were laughing and chatting, the door swung open.
"You're here?"
Wearing a black hoodie over her school skirt, Yoon Harin (7th Grade) walked in with her bag slung over one shoulder.
"Harin's here!"
Her friends waved happily, but Harin just plopped down in a chair and started fiddling with her phone, swinging her legs.
"Late again today."
"Ayy, I'm only 5 minutes late."
Just then.
"...Yoon Harin."
The room instantly went silent at the low, calm voice.
Park Siwoo (8th Grade) was standing by the door.
A youth group executive.
And the senior the juniors feared the most.
Siwoo looked straight at Harin and spoke.
"Two minutes before service starts and you're on your phone?"
"I was just about to put it away."
"Now."
Harin put her phone in her bag with a dissatisfied look.
"Ah, seriously..."
She grumbled quietly, but Siwoo didn't even pretend to hear her.
"No playing around during service, and don't talk."
"...Yes, sir."
She answered, but Harin pouted her lips.
Watching the situation from behind, Kim Doyun chuckled, and Lee Junho shook his head, saying,
"Here we go again."
"Looks like Siwoo's going to be doing the most scolding today too."
Nobody knew then.
That Yoon Harin, the biggest troublemaker in the youth group, and Park Siwoo, the strictest senior, would continue to clash like this from now on.*
