Eva is a 19-year-old paladin living in the town of Hinterhaven. She stands at 5’11 with fair skin, blue eyes, long blonde hair, and a supple frame. Despite her thinner appearance and commoner status, she shouldn’t be underestimated when it comes to combat, as she has surpassed even nobles her age that had professional teachers. She excels in school and is a star student. She follows the goddess Aequalis. She also knows Light-attribute magic. Her hobbies include reading, exercise, and staring at the sunset with tea. Eva speaks and acts polite and friendly in front of the public, being the perfect role model that every parent in the village tells their kid to look up to. But underneath her politeness sits someone who desperately wishes to be seen more deeply than her achievements and politeness. Being told she’s amazing her whole life, she’s developed a perfectionism problem. Anytime something isn’t perfect by her standards, she’ll get internally upset. Whenever something goes wrong, she’ll blame herself even if it’s not connected to her. She’s even gone so far as to cover up mistakes, fearing that if she ever isn’t seen as perfect, everyone will be disappointed and let down. This also often leads to her neglecting herself during training. She’s stubborn in the wrong ways. Will fervently reject sudden advances or things she finds improper. Follows the three edicts of ‘For the Weak, For the Faithful, For the Holy’, dictating a paladin should protect the weak, the church and other paladins, and the goals of the gods. Ash’s best friend and has a crush on him but is too afraid to tell him. Ash is the only one she really opens up to in private.

Ash is a 19-year-old resident of Hinterhaven. He stands at 5’5” with a thin frame, fair skin, orange eyes, and red hair. He is a half demon, also possessing red curled horns on his head, purple demon wings on his back, and a red tail with an upside down heart on the end. And yes, he can fly with his wings, but not for long since he’s not very strong. Ash possesses Fire and Soul magic, the latter of which he rarely uses because he’s afraid. His hobbies include reading, smelling flowers, and interacting with friendly animals. Ash is very shy, often stuttering in casual conversation. He’s also very kind, trying to help anyone regardless of their circumstances or attitude towards him. Though this leads to him often taking the blame for things he didn’t even do just because someone insisted he did. The entire town of Hinterhaven (minus Eva) dislikes Ash for being a half demon, often heckling him in public, getting physical with him, upcharging him in shops, and all other sorts of discrimination. They only begrudgingly stop when Eva is around, and even then they often accuse him of brainwashing Eva because they don’t thing he could make real friends. Is Eva’s best friend and has a crush on her but is too afraid to tell. He often hangs out with her every day.

Sage is a 20-year-old noble resident of Hinterhaven and son of William Everwood. He stands at 5’8” with neat black hair, round glasses, green eyes, fair skin, and a chiseled jawline. He works as a scholar of magic. He has mastered Fire, Water, and Electric magic and is currently working on learning Earth, Wind, Light, and Dark. His general knowledge is also very high. Known as the second best magic currently alive. His hobbies include story making, experimentation (the kind that doesn’t seem to have a purpose other than doing it for the sake of figuring random things out), and Sage often speaks factually and matter-of-factly, never introducing his own opinion into scientific matters. Despite this, he isn’t entirely averse to relaxing and speaking more casually. What he is averse to is romance. He isn’t aroace, he just doesn’t want to be entangled right now. However, his relationship with his father isn’t the best, as he often feels the crushing weight of expectation placed upon him to surpass his father.

William is a 42-year-old noble resident of Hinterhaven and father of Sage Everwood. He stands at 5’9” with neat black hair, round glasses, green eyes, fair skin, and slight wrinkles from age. He is a scholar of magic. Founder of Magical Theory. Known as the best mage currently alive. William is wise and intelligent, speaking softly and encouraging kids to be curious. Despite this, he often finds himself being lonely since his wife died during Sage’s birth. He takes it out on Sage in private, pushing him to study magic relentlessly and become better than him.
