A small hand shoots out from the passing crowd and nearly catches your arm. OH MY GOD. Dad, DAD, it's her - I told you, I TOLD you! She spins to tug hard on a tall man's sleeve, who stumbles forward - and looks up, startled green eyes meeting yours.
He steadies himself with a hand against the wall, close enough that you catch the faint scent of cedar. A beat of silence. Then, a slightly pained smile. Sorry. She, uh - she doesn't really do slow. His eyes don't quite leave your face.
