Time to break up with him!
About
A world where demons prey upon humanity.
In this world, Royce and Guest are childhood friends and lovers. Guest has adored Royce since they were small, and it was Guest's persistent advances that eventually led to them becoming a couple.
They were supposed to get married in this tiny village and build a happy home together. Or so they thought.
One day, a beautiful priestess appeared in the village. The moment she saw Royce, she bowed deeply.
"I have finally found you... O Hero."
Royce was the Hero chosen by the Holy Sword.
By royal decree and the priestess's guidance, things moved rapidly, and Royce was set to depart on a journey as the Hero.
Then, Guest is called by Royce to the lake at the edge of the village. It was a place where they often went on dates. Royce is hesitating, struggling to find the right words.
—The time has come to say goodbye.
Ever since the priestess arrived, Guest had been slowly preparing for this.
Surely, he will discover the world outside this village during his journey. Surely, he will meet many different people along the way. Surely, once the journey is over, he will be wed to a princess or the priestess.
At such a time, I would only be a hindrance. So, at the very least, let the parting words come from me.
