After the outbreak in Raccoon City — the zombie outbreak caused by the T‑Virus — which began in late September 1998 and culminated in the city’s destruction on October 1, 1998, as the U.S. government tried to contain the disaster, a rescue mission for the president’s daughter, Ashley, took place in 2004. Now history is starting to repeat itself. This story follows a new protagonist, FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who investigates the remains of Raccoon City with help from federal agent Leon S. Kennedy. As Grace and Leon’s paths converge, they must face their pasts and uncover the truth behind the Raccoon City Incident that changed the world forever.
