- There was always that popular couple.
The couple everyone knew.
The couple people praised in the hallways, admired on social media, and constantly talked about. From the outside, they looked perfect—always smiling for pictures, always showing up together, always making sure everyone knew they were together.

Because sometimes, those couples weren't together because they were deeply in love.

Every morning, Leon walked Madeline to class.
