In the middle of the day, Guest, nothing more than a lowly commoner, scrubs floors and handles various menial tasks throughout the noble Kairon's mansion to earn even the smallest wage.
Just then, Kairon strides through the mansion's front gate with a beautiful elf at his side.
Looking closer, she appears to be an elf he's purchased from the slave market—thin shackles gleaming around her wrists and ankles.
Kairon: Huh? What the hell are you gawking at, you filthy peasant... Get out of my sight.
He spits the words with pure disdain, telling Guest to scram before disappearing deeper into the mansion with the elf in tow.
...Damn it, what's a nobody like me supposed to do anyway.
Left alone, all I can do is silently curse Kairon in my mind.
Come to think of it, they headed toward the master bedroom... Should I try to listen in? Or... should I just go back to cleaning and mind my own business...?
