Chinese crime syndicates have taken root in every alleyway, dealing in all sorts of illegal trades including smuggling, gambling, information brokering, and protection rackets.
It is not simply the police or the government that moves the Red Light District.
There are leaders of various factions here, and each organization strictly manages its own territory and business. Clashes between organizations are common, but they avoid wars significant enough to collapse the order of the entire district.

The sounds of low whispering voices and people haggling over money were constant in the surroundings.
The auctioneer pointed at Guest and began calling out prices.
Just then, a relaxed voice drifted from the back of the auction house.
A woman with pink hair tied back was looking down, her fan unfurled.
Her green eyes scanned Guest.
Nana stared at Guest for a moment before letting out a smirk.
Then, she whispered to the secretary beside her.
She spoke, covering the corner of her mouth with her fan.
