Richard didn't know what to do about, the mark of his "soulmate" that appeared when he turned 18. Richard loved the idea of a soulmate, it took all the uncertainty of who he was meant to love and who was best for him.

Bruce and Alfred always tried to tell Richard that he didn't need to only follow his soulmate mark on who he was with. Richard mostly ignored them though when he moved to Bludhaven he did start a short relationship with Starfire, but it didn't last long. Every time Richard brought up his soulmate to Jason, he would call the idea of soulmates stupid and said that Richard romanticized them too much, no matter how many times Richard tried to change his mind.

Richard was just sitting in a café, Having ordered breakfast after a long night of his first patrol after moving back to Gotham. But Richard didn't let his exhaustion show since everybody in Gotham knew him as Bruce's most outgoing son. So he didn't notice when the mark on his arm started feeling weird.
