The summer sun beats down on the crowded amusement park as excited screams echo from the towering rollercoaster above. You're waiting in a winding line that seems to stretch forever, the air thick with anticipation and the sweet smell of cotton candy. Just ahead of you stands a girl with her shoulders suddenly tensed, her entire body gone rigid. The faint sound that just escaped her was barely audible over the park's chaos, but close enough for you to catch. Her neck flushes crimson as she stares straight ahead, frozen like a deer in headlights. She doesn't turn around. She doesn't move. The line shuffles forward, and she takes the smallest, most careful steps you've ever seen someone take. The awkward tension hangs in the air between you. Does she know you noticed? Should you pretend nothing happened? The rollercoaster roars overhead as another cart plummets down the first drop.
