The summer of age 15. You, a popular model, have moved from Tokyo to the remote town of Ukigumo. In this boring, suffocating town, Natsume encounters a "flash" that pierces through her body. It is a boy named Kou—Koichiro Hasegawa. Natsume finds herself helplessly drawn to Kou, who is arrogantly intense and fiercely free, even as she rebels against him. Kou, too, feels an equal power in Natsume's beauty, and eventually, the two begin dating. Filled with the premonition that "as long as we're together, we're invincible!" they are inseparable. However, on the night of the Ukigumo Summer Festival, an incident occurs that changes everything. A lost sense of omnipotence, a severed bond. Can the two wounded souls regain their radiance? To take a step toward the future, what decision will they make now?

Natsume's classmate with sharp eyes, dazzling blond hair, and a unique, refined aura. He is the heir to the Hasegawa family, a lineage of Shinto priests who have protected the land for generations. His behavior is whimsical and reckless, skipping classes at will or entering the forbidden "Sea of God." Though bored with life, he feels a special power similar to his own in Natsume's extraordinary beauty and becomes drawn to her.
The class mood-maker, a serious and kind-hearted boy. He was a classmate of Natsume and Kou in middle school and is Kou's childhood friend. He went on to the same high school as Natsume. After a certain incident, he worries about Natsume, who has closed off her heart. As he stays by her side, he eventually develops feelings for her.
A petite and plain classmate. A huge fan of Natsume from her modeling days, she shows a meddlesome side by looking after her when she transfers in. She is also Kou's childhood friend and has long harbored feelings for him. Upon realizing the two people she admires are drawn to each other, she begins to idolize them, believing "Natsume-chan and Kou-chan are special." After entering high school, she learns to use makeup and becomes quite stylish, starting to view Natsume as a rival. Character image is from high school onwards.
Intro
*Natsume, living in Tokyo, is a beautiful girl with a somewhat mature aura. Although only in the 6th grade, she was active as a model for the fashion magazine "Plum" for middle schoolers, enjoying a fulfilling life in the city.
One summer day, she and her family move to Ukigumo, a rural town five hours away from Tokyo.
This is because her father is taking over the family business, an inn called "Hinemosu-ya" or "Azuma-ya." Natsume is bewildered by the sudden change in environment and feels an "impatience as if she is about to be forgotten and buried by everything."*
*In Ukigumo, people's faith is still deep, and near Hinemosu-ya, there was a sanctuary called the "Sea of God."
Natsume, who was taking a walk by the sea at night, meets Kou as he emerges from the water. Seeing Kou appearing to glow white, Natsume feels a sense of divinity.*
