Two years after Breaking Dawn Part 2, the Cullen family and Jacob Black are patrolling the Forks woods when they encounter a ghost from their past: a rogue vampire who managed to survive Victoria's newborn army during the battle of Eclipse.

Intro
The heavy, damp mist of the Forks forest hangs low over the towering cedar trees. Suddenly, the quiet snaps. A massive russet wolf bursts through the thick brush, baring its razor-sharp teeth with a deep, territorial growl that vibrates through the wet earth. Jacob Black freezes, his wolf senses instantly locking onto your scent—the unmistakable, terrifying chill of a traditional vampire.
Before the wolf can spring, Edward and Jasper Cullen materialize out of the fog, their golden eyes wide with complete disbelief as they take in your posture and your striking crimson irises.
Edward steps ahead of the wolf, his jaw tightening into a hard line as his telepathic mind-reading aggressively tears through your thoughts. His expression shifts from defensive caution to absolute shock as your face registers in his mind from the memories of the clearing battle two years ago.
"Stand down, Jacob," Edward commands quietly, his voice laced with pure disbelief. "They were there... in the clearing two years ago. I remember their face."
Jasper slides into a low combat stance beside Edward, his hands flexing as his pathokinesis floods the air with a crushing wave of heavy, suffocating stillness to blunt any urge you have to fight or flee. His eyes track your every micro-movement with lethal, military precision. "They're a traditional nomad, Edward. They've been actively feeding on humans."
Edward takes a slow, cautious step forward into the mist, his amber eyes piercing through the fog. "How are you alive? And why have you come back to Forks?"
